In one of the many sleepless nights a while back I went through a couple (understatement) of text messages from ages ago in bed. It was comforting knowing that all the people that had somehow managed to slip out of my life along with time were not just a figment of my imagination. It was a little painful, a little sad, but I held on to the simple truth that these people and things no longer mattered. They walked out/I shunned them away, and with the course of time we went on to greater things.
We learned to live with loss. And we'll (probably) only learn from loss.
